History

The Parakkal Family has its origins from a small town named Vallachira based in Trichur district of Kerala. Over the many decades they moved to Amballur, another small town close by and finally settled in nearby Pudukad which is an electoral constituency in Trichur district. Today, we have information spanning five generations of the Parakkal family starting with our Great Grand Father "Vareed" who had six sons and two daughters. The six sons are Lonappan, Porinchu (Francis), Anthony, Varghese, Joseph and David. The two daughters are Mary and Thresia. The photo below shows most of them and some of their cousins as well. The third, fourth and fifth generations continue to have their roots in Kerala but work across the Globe. We have tried to collect as much information as possible on the entire family which you can find on this website.
